Zeiss IOL Master 700
The Zeiss IOL Master 700 takes highly accurate measurements of the optical system of the eye using high resolution swept-source Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT). These measurements are used in conjunction with advanced mathematical formulas that model the human eye in order to determine an intraocular lens power customized to each eye. Just as glasses are made of different strengths tailored to each individual eye, the same is true for intraocular lenses placed inside the eye during cataract surgery.
Zeiss Atlas Topographer
The Zeiss Atlas Topographer uses Placido Disk Technology to accurately measure the corneal surface of the human eye. It evaluates for regular and irregularly astigmatism, which occurs when the corneal surface is shaped more like an oval than a sphere. Regular astigmatism can be corrected at the time of cataract surgery with a Toric intraocular lens.
Zeiss Visucam Rev2 Imaging System
The Zeiss Visucam Rev2 Imaging System takes color photographs, fluorescein angiograms, and funduc autofluorescence images of the retina. With fine detail, the imaging technology can pinpoint subtle retinal abnormalities for diagnosis and for management of conditions such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal vein occlusions.
Zeiss Cirrus HD-OCT Imaging
The Cirrus HD-OCT Imaging system is an automated computerized technology that can take images of the optic nerve and the retina of the eye with striking detail. It can show layers of the retina fractions of a millimeter thick. OCT is a vital tool for the evaluation and monitoring of glaucoma, as well as for retinal diseases such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, epiretinal membrane, vitreomacular traction, and retinal vein occlusion.
Nidek Autorefraction System
The Nidek Autorefraction system uses light to automatically assess the refractive state of the eye. In combination with a subjective refraction (measurement for glasses), it allows for increased accuracy in prescribing glasses.
Humphrey Field Analyzer 3
The Humphrey Field Analyzer 3 uses advanced visual field testing algorithms for diagnosing and monitoring glaucoma, neurologic diseases, and medication toxicity in the eye.
